Create: Astral is a challenging, tech-focused modpack built around Create, guiding players from a planet beneath a shattered moon into the technology of a lost civilisation and onward to the stars. A quest book with more than five progression chapters explains the pack’s demanding engineering challenges, with a chapter for each celestial body and a progression path that makes planetary exploration part of advancement rather than an endgame destination. Custom recipes integrate the included mods into Create’s crafting and processing systems, including filling, sequenced assembly, mechanical crafting, and Tech Reborn processes, with complex chains designed to automate essential resources and support large-scale factories. Players can build early trains and develop automation for renewable resources, with the pack’s progression also integrating Tinkers’ Construct through liquid metals, Create-based alloying, and basin casting. Shimmer and special items made from moon rock let players create a new kind of portal, opening a route to a customized Moon and its resources, including materials associated with the Nether. Exploration continues to customized versions of Mars and Mercury, where world generation, ore deposits, mobs, structures, and loot are tailored to the pack’s progression; custom datapacks also add blocks and items to discover. The pack includes reworked structure generation and loot to reward exploration, including the Purpur Fortress, a structure added to a later dimension with a chance to contain a Microphysical Probe.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Fabric, 23 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 9 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 196 of its 197 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
11 mods send something about you
We read the code of 193 of its 195 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 12 of the 152 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
43 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
