About
Extra Gore adds configurable blood effects to hurt entities, with particle size, quantity, spray and spread responding to settings such as an entity’s health and the damage it takes. Blood comes in four styles: Light spreads, sticks to surfaces and merges into stains; Heavy bounces, settles and sinks in water; Magic mixes swirling, blinking particles with Light-style behavior; and Slimy adds extra squashing and bouncing, adjustable through viscosity. The effects react to their surroundings: blood can follow water currents and spread across the surface, burn and boil on lava or other configured hot blocks, and shift or fall when doors, pistons or supporting blocks move. On walls and ceilings, blood can stretch, slide, drip or gather into hanging drops, while particles fade as they change state or disappear; lighting can follow the world or remain fullbright without lighting nearby blocks. With Bookling Gear, players can create blood profiles for selected entities and customize colors, textures, styles, brightness, viscosity, dripping, merging, particle limits and other visual and behavior settings; vanilla mobs have default profiles, while modded living entities use default blood unless assigned a more specific profile. Extra Gore runs on the client in single-player and multiplayer, with Bookling Gear also required on the client.
