About
Go Fish expands Minecraft fishing with collectible aquatic creatures and loot, making fishing a more rewarding activity while keeping it a hands-on alternative to faster ways of gathering resources. Fish and crates vary by biome, weather, moon phase, and dimension: examples include Icicle Fish and Snowball Fish in icy areas, Slimefish and Lilyfish in swamps, Rainy Bass during rain, and Lunarfish and Astral Crates during a full moon. The Nether has its own catches, including Smokey Salmon, Magma Cod, and Soul Salmon, while the End has Baked Endfish; Basalt Deltas also offer Gilded Blackstone Carp and Blackstone Trout. The mod also adds fishing rods and trinkets, aquatic-ingredient foods, and loot crates such as wooden, iron, golden, and diamond varieties. Artifacts and trinkets can improve fishing speed and luck over time, giving players a sense of progression, while the loot is balanced around manual fishing and is intended to remain slower than other ways of acquiring resources.
