About
Incantationem is a vanilla-plus mod that expands the standard enchantment system with more than ten enchantments and four curses, designed to fit into normal gameplay. Its additions can generally be found through enchanting, villager trades, and loot, with configuration options to change how individual enchantments and curses are obtained. The enchantments add situational effects across combat, exploration, and utility: Bane of the Swine increases damage to pigs and piglin-like mobs, Bunny’s Hop grants boosted jumps on grass or dirt, Magnetic draws nearby items and experience orbs, and Forging Touch can smelt blocks as they are mined. Other examples include Deflection, which can turn aside projectiles, Fuse Shot, which creates a small non-griefing explosion on a bow hit, and Reaping Rod, which grants effects similar to an Enchanted Golden Apple when a fishing rod deals a hostile mob’s killing blow. The curses introduce risks such as losing drops from blocks broken with Curse of Recklessness, raising the danger of Deep Dark shriekers with Curse of Shrieking, and potentially being struck by lightning with Curse of the Thunders. Charmed improves the odds of beneficial enchantment effects, while Curse of Tough Luck does the opposite and increases the chance of curse effects; these two are incompatible.
