About
Nbt Crafting extends Minecraft’s JSON datapack recipe system so recipe authors can match ingredients by their NBT data and set NBT data on outputs, without introducing a separate scripting language. Ingredient rules can require or deny particular data, match values with wildcards or numeric ranges, and produce customized items; for example, a recipe can turn a diamond and a sufficiently undamaged diamond sword into a named, enchanted Battle Axe. The mod adds recipe types for brewing, cauldrons and anvils: brewing combines a base item with a modifier to produce a result, cauldron recipes process an input and can consume water levels, and anvil recipes transform a base item using a modifier, optionally at an experience-level cost. Recipe authors can also define item remainders with NBT data, and use expressions to calculate output or remainder data from items involved in a recipe, including copying existing NBT values. The recipe book displays recipe output amounts, and the mod can run server-side without being installed on clients, though that can cause minor cosmetic issues.
