About
Prism is a color-focused library that gives dependent mods tools to add richer color features to Minecraft, rather than adding a standalone set of in-game content. For mods using Minecraft’s built-in text colors, Prism can enable animated colors, named web colors, and easier HSV-based color manipulation. Its utilities support creating colors from RGB, ARGB, HSV, or AHSV components, reading color components, and converting between RGB and HSV formats. Animated colors smoothly transition through a sequence of definitions and loop back to the beginning. Mods can also use Prism to parse color settings expressed as hexadecimal or decimal values, Minecraft color names, or web color names, with modifiers for hue, saturation, brightness, red, green, blue, and alpha. Additional utilities can extract a dominant color from an image and retrieve an item’s name color from its display name or tooltip.
