Tame rats that gather resources, cook food, and fight beside you.
50.5 of the 64 points that apply = 79 out of 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
Rats adds wild rodents to the Overworld that can sneak through doors and fences, raid chests for food and seeds, and damage crops, giving players a reason to use defenses such as traps, stone buildings, or cats. Players can tame wild rats with cheese, then manage them through an inventory and commands, equip them with helmets or banners, and craft upgrades that improve their health, speed, strength, and armor or grant new abilities. Trained rats can follow or stay put, hunt selected mobs, gather dropped items, harvest crops, perform jobs such as chopping trees or breeding animals, and transport items between designated inventories; patrol commands send them along a set route to fight monsters they encounter. Specialized upgrades extend their work to tasks such as cooking, carrying full stacks, bottling honey or water, fishing, and accelerating nearby block ticks, with upgrade visuals optionally toggled separately from their functions. A Crafting Upgrade and Rat Crafting Table let a tamed rat automate recipes using materials placed in its input slots. Rats can be bred in cages with a Rat Breeding Lantern, and pups may develop color mutations unlike either parent; cages can also be decorated. The mod also includes hostile diseased rats with glowing red eyes and green fur, as well as the Pied Piper, an Illager who uses a flute to command attacking rats. Ratlantis is an optional data pack featuring a hostile distant land and powerful rat upgrades, reached through a rare magical token dropped by a rat. Cheese, made by pouring milk into a cauldron by default, serves as both food and a key ingredient for taming and rat-related crafting, and the cheesemaking process can be configured or replaced with cheese from another mod.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 2 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
Adds 89 blocks, 269 items, 49 entities, 1 biome, 212 recipes, 37 advancements, 18 loot tables and 90 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
