Build modern cities and subway networks with trains and railways.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 82 graded mods, 76 are graded A or B, 6 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 6 days ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
Better MTR is a modpack for building modern cities and integrating them with subway and rail transit. Minecraft Transit Railway supplies trains, stations, signaling and fare systems, while the Tianjin Metro add-on adds trains and elements based on that network. Create and Steam 'n' Rails add industrial-style mechanics, including steam trains and more complex track systems. For urban construction, Yuushya and Mishang provide modern building blocks, decorations, furniture and prefabricated structures for detailed cityscapes. The pack also includes practical building and travel aids such as Litematica blueprints, a printer and Waystones, alongside recipe lookup and expanded backpack and storage management. Sodium and Lithium support performance, while Iris enables shader use and the pack includes additional visual and video-setting options.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 18 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 7 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 82 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mod files are inside the pack file itself: 3 match a known file (
Framework,
MrCrayfish's Vehicle Unofficial and
Create: Interiors), 1 does not (Tianjin-Metro-Port.jar).
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 77 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 9 of the 77 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
