Build a village, manage colonists, and create useful machines.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 212 graded mods, 146 are graded A or B, 48 C and 18 D to F. Its last update came out 3.6 years ago, for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
Create a Colony combines MineColonies, Create, and Minecraft Comes Alive around building and managing a self-sufficient village, with colonists, villagers, trade, and machinery forming the core experience. Colonists build and mine much faster than usual, work through rain, and can be sped up further with tiered paths and beacon effects; miners also find more ores, including somewhat more rare ores and less coal. Villagers are reworked through Minecraft Comes Alive, and expanding the village and interacting with its residents brings useful perks, additional trades for vanilla jobs, and new roles such as Horticulturist and Oceanographer. Create contraptions support production chains, with machinery rebalanced for the pack, while colonist work and trading let a village supply useful resources without requiring trips beyond its borders. The world changes with the seasons, and flowers and grass grow, animals eat, and buildings weather as metal rusts and bricks moss over or crack; weathering does not hinder MineColonies buildings, and materials can be repaired or reprocessed by colonist jobs. Longer days give colonists more working time, while shorter nights bring more enemies; enemies also investigate sounds and lights when players venture beyond the village, and peaceful play still includes hunger. Food variety matters: a nutrition tracker rewards balanced eating with bonuses, and the pack adds cooking and dishes to explore, while making extra hearts from Spice of Life harder to gain.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 6 Apr 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 19 Mar 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 210 of its 213 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of 207 of its 210 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 17 of the 165 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
45 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
