A massive fully modified modpack packed with Magic and Tech mods
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 188 graded mods, 77 are graded A or B, 31 C and 80 D to F. Its last update came out 5.5 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
EnigTech 2 is a heavily customized magic-and-technology modpack built around a structured progression that unlocks content across seven stages, with more than 200 mods and over 400 tailored advancements. Its progression connects its magic and technology systems: early stages introduce survival and magic such as Rustic, Roots, Botania, Blood Magic, and Nature’s Aura alongside Immersive Engineering, while later stages bring in storage and automation with Ender IO and Applied Energistics 2, then Astral Sorcery, Advanced Rocketry, Mekanism, and NuclearCraft. Stage-specific recipes and prerequisites make advancement depend on building a foundation in earlier technologies; for example, Terrasteel is needed to craft Ender IO machines, and materials such as steel have different production routes as the stages progress. Exploration and dimension-specific resources feed into that progression: ancient ruins can contain machinery-upgrade blueprints or a pre-built Molecular Assembly, while the Moon and Twilight Forest provide materials used for Astral Sorcery, Nature’s Aura, and industrial production. Later gameplay extends into space and nuclear technology, including manned and unmanned missions to gather asteroid minerals and the use of radioactive ores for a Fission Chamber. Multiple routes to useful materials, including Deep Mob Learning as an alternative source of fiery ingots, let players choose how to meet production needs rather than relying on a single method.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 4 May 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 13 Mar 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 196 of its 197 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 196 of its 197 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 109 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
88 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
