A skyblock adventure with tech, magic, and plenty of resources.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 159 graded mods, 61 are graded A or B, 33 C and 65 D to F. Its last update came out 2.1 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
FTB Sky Adventures is a skyblock modpack that combines technology and magic, with optional FTB Quests to guide players without requiring a fixed progression route. Players begin by gathering raw resources with Ex Nihilo, then can use ProjectE as a central resource-gathering system while building a skyblock base. The pack supports fast progression for players who want it, while also offering deeper exploration of tech and magic mod trees and bee breeding. Quest rewards include in-game currency that can be saved for useful or unique items in the quest book’s reward store, though quests and the store are not necessary to reach the endgame. In multiplayer, players can create or join teams that are assigned their own islands, with quest progress and inventory tied to the team or island.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 31 Aug 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 9 Jan 2019 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 166 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 166 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 6 of the 95 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
71 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
