Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 186 graded mods, 120 are graded A or B, 40 C and 26 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
Journey to Dawn is a story-driven modpack that begins in a dangerous dimension, with the Upper World as the goal rather than the starting point, and follows a nameless hero piecing together their past and the worlds’ history. Players explore landscapes across dimensions, face new bosses and increasingly dangerous enemies, and automate processes with Create machinery. The story unfolds through the quest book, the hero’s thoughts, lore records found in structures, and custom structures created for the pack. A sanity mechanic makes darkness, taking damage, and killing creatures erode the player’s reason, bringing hallucinations, voices, and dangerous shadows; light, campfires, pets, fishing, animal care, and sleep help restore it. Parkour adds stamina limits alongside movement abilities such as somersaults, jumps, rolls, and wall-crawling, and is incorporated into both new and existing structures. The pack also includes custom crafting stations: a workstation for gathering some resources more cheaply and an engraving table for retrieving lore and gameplay records. Its presentation is extensively customized, with translated mod guides, redesigned interfaces and menus, and a resource-pack visual style.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 27 Nov 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 13 Nov 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 189 of its 191 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 185 of its 187 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 13 of the 151 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
36 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
