Smoother play and useful extras for vanilla multiplayer worlds.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 52 graded mods, 51 are graded A or B, 0 C and 1 D to F. Its last update came out 6 weeks ago, for Minecraft 26.2. See the mods
Nirvana Better Vanilla is a client-side modpack for improving survival multiplayer and single-player play while keeping Minecraft close to its vanilla experience and usable on vanilla servers. It adds no gameplay content, instead combining performance optimizations such as Sodium, Lithium, and FerriteCore with interface and quality-of-life features. Players can use a minimap and fullscreen world map with waypoints, check armor and other status information through HUD overlays, and sort or manage inventories with added tools. Visual options include shaders, connected textures, dynamic lights, and a smooth configurable zoom, with support for many OptiFine-style resource-pack features. Other conveniences include food and mount HUD information, searchable statistics and key bindings, shulker-box previews, and a light-level overlay for checking potential mob-spawn locations.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.2 · Fabric, 15 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 10 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 53 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 53 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 52 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
1 mod is not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
