A questing modpack that takes you from simple tools to space.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 237 graded mods, 190 are graded A or B, 36 C and 11 D to F. Its last update came out 2.7 years ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
NwtCraft is a quest-driven modpack that combines technology, magic, and an in-game economy into an adventure of building and exploration. Its progression begins in a new world, where players search for scattered runes to unlock technology, then advances through quests from a primitive age to steam and internal combustion, electricity, and finally interstellar travel. Each quest chapter includes challenge missions, while altered recipes and machines shape the route through that progression. The pack brings together technology mods such as Create, Mekanism, Immersive Engineering, and Ad Astra with magic-focused choices including Ars Nouveau, Botania, Nature’s Aura, and Forbidden and Arcanus. Players can automate production to obtain scarce items and complete export trades for money, with custom trading posts supporting automation and economy coins used in the game. Food and farming add a parallel cooking pursuit through Farmer’s Delight and Pam’s HarvestCraft, including crops, trees, and extended foods. Exploration is complemented by generated dungeons from When Dungeons Arise, additional structures, and Towns and Towers, alongside dedicated fishing, mining, and lobby dimensions. The pack also includes storage and automation options such as Applied Energistics 2, Refined Storage, XNet, and Create, as well as a redesigned main menu, background music, and in-game background art. Quest text is localized in English and Simplified Chinese.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 8 Feb 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 3 Jan 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 238 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 235 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 15 of the 198 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
37 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
