A skyblock tech modpack with linear progression and quests to guide the player.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 154 graded mods, 116 are graded A or B, 34 C and 4 D to F. Its last update came out 4 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Technological Ascent is a skyblock technology modpack built around guided, linear progression, with quests helping players advance through a sequence of technological tiers. In a Garden of Glass world, useful resources are renewable and can be automated at a base, so progression does not depend on exploration. Players begin with Botania and Create, then unlock Applied Energistics 2 and a limited form of ProjectE in which only some basic resources have EMC. Later tiers bring in Industrial Foregoing, Thermal, Powah, Mekanism, PneumaticCraft and Draconic Evolution, with modified recipes shaping the progression. At the end, players return to automate resources for Avaritia tools and creative items for the different mods; the pack is designed for singleplayer.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 25 Jun 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 3 Dec 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 152 of its 154 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 151 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 9 of the 125 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
26 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
