A survival pack with new mods and familiar favorites to explore.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 170 graded mods, 93 are graded A or B, 34 C and 43 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.14.4. See the mods
The New Frontier Reloaded is a survival-focused modpack that builds on the earlier New Frontier with a selection of newer mods and returning favorites, so exploration calls for preparation rather than relying on vanilla content alone. Its world content includes Biomes O’ Plenty and generated locations from DungeonCrawl and Ruins, alongside new threats such as MutantBeasts and Infernal Mobs. For technology and resource progression, the pack includes XNet, Industrial Foregoing, ProjectE, and the RFTools suite, as well as Mystical Agriculture and Simple Farming. It also adds building and decoration options such as furniture, Engineer’s Decor, fairy lights, and Statues, plus combat gear including Trinity Weapons and Spartan Shields. Xaero’s Minimap and Xaero’s World Map provide mapping tools, while the broader collection also includes storage, utilities, and quality-of-life mods such as Dank Storage, Comforts, and JEI.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.14.4 · Forge, 20 Jan 2020). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 26 Dec 2019 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 173 of its 174 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (20 Jan 2020) in the 109 mods we checked.
7 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
65 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
