A tougher survival world with dangerous nights and new crafting paths.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 160 graded mods, 126 are graded A or B, 30 C and 4 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
Tinkers' Survival Official is a survival-focused modpack that reworks Minecraft to make staying alive challenging but manageable, rather than playing like vanilla survival. Survival is shaped by advanced mob AI and health, hunger, thirst, heat, cold, and weather dynamics, while longer days leave more time to explore; sleeping is disabled, so players must find ways to endure the night. Exploration spans varied, hillier-than-vanilla biomes and expanded ores, with an ore progression centered largely on alloying. Progression runs through five mining levels: players make increasingly hard materials to mine the next tier and eventually craft top-tier tools, weapons, and armor. Tinkers' Construct tools and weapons are central to progression, and armor is made with Construct's Armory; vanilla and vanilla-like tools, weapons, and armor are not available as alternatives. Early crafting also has a distinctive constraint: a saw is required to make wooden planks and sticks, and crude tools are needed to produce materials for Tinkers' tables and tools. A guidebook provided on first login explains the progression, alloy recipes, and mining levels, and remains with the player after death.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 23 May 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 161 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 161 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (23 May 2024) in the 145 mods we checked.
8 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
16 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
