About
Better Diving overhauls underwater exploration with a Subnautica-inspired swimming and oxygen system: you swim in the direction you look instead of sinking automatically, and your oxygen reserve lasts longer than in vanilla Minecraft, though it is consumed faster at greater depths. Diving gear changes how you explore: fins and oxygen tanks affect swimming speed, tanks extend your oxygen supply, and a rebreather cancels the extra oxygen drain caused by depth; equipment can also help you move and mine faster. Underwater resources include limestone and sandstone outcrops, which yield materials such as titanium, copper, lead, silver and gold, alongside plants including creepvine, acid mushrooms and seagrass. The mod also adds small aquatic creatures such as peepers, bladderfish, garryfish, boomerang and holefish, plus craftable diving equipment ranging from masks, wetsuit leggings and standard oxygen tanks to reinforced gear and ultra glide fins.
