A client-side optimization modpack with a few extra tweaks.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 25 graded mods, 24 are graded A or B, 1 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 5 weeks ago, for Minecraft 26.2. See the mods
Sodium Plus is a client-side optimization modpack that aims to recreate the OptiFine experience while keeping the Minecraft client resource-efficient, with visual tweaks, quality-of-life changes, and bug fixes. Its performance-focused core includes Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, EntityCulling, and Dynamic FPS, while Iris and Distant Horizons add support for shaders and distant terrain rendering. Visual and ambience additions include Continuity, Falling Leaves, Visuality, AmbientSounds, Presence Footsteps, Sound Physics Remastered, and the Fresh Animations and Redstone Tweaks resource packs. The pack also includes practical tools such as AppleSkin, Jade, Shulker Box Tooltip, Xaero’s Minimap and World Map, Zoomify, and Simple Voice Chat. Some included client-side mods can change gameplay, so the pack is not limited to performance and appearance adjustments.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.2 · Fabric, 19 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 19 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 25 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 25 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 25 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
