About
Elenai Dodge 2 adds a configurable dodge and dash mechanic to Minecraft, letting players evade danger or rush into combat with a quick directional burst. Players can dodge by holding the dodge key while pressing a movement direction, or use a double-tap control mode; the dodge key and many other settings can be adjusted. Dodges propel the player and briefly grant invulnerability, but consume saturation and Dodge Feathers, a regenerating resource displayed above the hunger bar that can be hidden or tuned in the configuration. Armor weight affects the available feather supply: heavier armor turns feathers into unusable Steel Feathers, while the Lightweight enchantment reduces the player's weight, and modded armor weights can be configured. The mod also adds five potions: Feathers grants extra feathers, Endurance reduces weight, Weight converts feathers to steel, Forceful increases dodge distance, Feeble reduces it, and Replenishment speeds feather regeneration. Dodging distance and availability also respond to conditions such as the dimension, ice, Slowness, hunger, sneaking, blocking, and whether the player is airborne, with configurable options for these behaviors. Optional dive-roll animations can be disabled for a more vanilla-style feel.
