    About

    LambdaBetterGrass improves Minecraft’s terrain and block visuals by connecting grass-like surfaces and adding configurable layers such as snow to blocks that do not fill a whole block. Its connected textures cover grass, mycelium, podzol, grass paths, crimson nylium, and warped nylium, smoothing the sides between neighboring blocks rather than using the rougher appearance the author disliked in OptiFine’s better-grass effect. When Better Snow is enabled, snow can appear on many partial blocks, including fences and plant-like blocks; the system can also add moss or sculk-vein layers. An optional built-in resource pack extends the look with snowy fences and other layer treatments, including snow-like effects on sculk veins and in lush caves. A settings screen lets players adjust the visual options, while resource-pack creators and modders can use the API to add connected-block rules and alternate models for layer effects.
