    About

    Mushroom Quest adds a nature-foraging adventure centered on collecting 137 real-world-inspired mushrooms across the world. The mushrooms have common, rare, or mythical rarity and are gathered from biome-linked sources such as oak stumps, birch trunks, field trunks and Shrumps, acacia stumps, and jungle trunks. Every mushroom is edible, and most can have medicinal or deadly effects; fungi can also serve as crafting ingredients, fuel, potion-brewing materials, or decorative blocks. The mod adds mushroom-themed scenery and places to explore, including fungi-covered stumps and trunks, Mushroom Islands with new flora and fauna, and the Witch Cottage structure. Funglings are small fungal creatures found mainly on Mushroom Islands, with Crimson and Warped variants associated with the Nether; they can be tamed with dead bushes or the corresponding Nether roots and told to stay or follow, though they are cosmetic pets. Players can find a Blank Mushroom Cap at the Witch Cottage, dye it into one of nine colors, and use the Sporestep enchantment on caps to gain speed, jump boost, and slow falling while standing on mushroom-related blocks. The Mycopedia is an in-game guide to mushroom edibility, locations, rarity, and uses, though the feature is still under development.
