About
Ultimate Car Mod adds drivable vehicles, a biodiesel production system, and materials for building and customizing roads in Minecraft. Its vehicle range includes single- and two-seat cars, sports cars, SUVs, and trucks with either cargo or fluid containers; cars can be customized with colors and text license plates, and transporters can carry extra inventory or up to 64,000 mB of fluid. Driving involves more than steering: cars require fuel and a battery, use different engines with trade-offs in speed and fuel consumption, and can take longer to start when cold, damaged, or low on battery charge. Cars can be damaged in collisions or by contact with water or lava, repaired in a workshop or with a repair kit, locked with keys, and refueled at a fuel station or with a canister. Fuel production is a central progression system: players grow canola, process it into oil, obtain methanol from wood in an energy-powered furnace, then combine the fluids in a backmix reactor and separate biodiesel from glycerin in a split tank. The production chain uses energy, generators or dynamos, tanks, cables, pipes, and fluid extractors; canola cake from the oil mill is a byproduct that can be used for breeding animals. Road-building options include asphalt blocks, slopes and slabs, 27 white and 27 yellow line-and-arrow markings applied with painters, guardrails, and editable signs with custom text; cars travel faster on asphalt roads.
