Blackstone Block is an expert, Create-focused modpack that places players in a Stoneblock-style underground world built entirely from blackstone, bounded above and below by bedrock. With no ordinary route to the surface, players must reach the Alfheim dimension through an Alfheim portal to see sunlight. The pack reshapes crafting and textures to support its Create-centered experience, with custom recipes and progression spanning systems such as Mekanism and Draconic Evolution. Its small quest book offers guidance for getting started and following the pack’s general progression while keeping the focus on play rather than a long quest checklist. The collection includes automation and engineering tools such as Create, Mekanism, Immersive Engineering, Applied Energistics 2, and RFTools, alongside resource and production mods including Ex Nihilo: Sequentia, Mystical Agriculture, and Industrial Foregoing. Magic and exploration options include Botania, Blood Magic, MythicBotany, Alfheim, and dimensions and biomes added by RFTools Dimensions, Oh The Biomes You'll Go, BetterEnd, and The Endergetic Expansion. Custom datapacks prevent teleporting out of Compact Machines cubes and the Blood Magic dungeon, shaping how players navigate those spaces. Custom content includes multiblock structures such as the Blood Bath and Explosivo, an Ultimate Ingot assembled from seven ingots, raw-ore drops, and bespoke recipes and singularities.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 5 Oct 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 26 Dec 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 195 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Its mods send nothing about you
We read the code of all 195 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 9 of the 157 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
38 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
