A modpack for building factories and exploring space with rockets.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 60 graded mods, 37 are graded A or B, 12 C and 11 D to F. Its last update came out 11 days ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Galactica is a space-and-technology modpack that brings together familiar Tekkit and TechnicPack mods, combining exploration, industrial building, and base decoration. Using Galacticraft, players can launch rockets to the Moon and Mars, build space stations and planetary bases, and explore rugged terrain where tunnels may conceal surprises; the pack also includes Extra Planets, with gallery examples showing Venus, a Mars base, a rocket, and a lunar buggy. Its technology gameplay supports building factories with BuildCraft, IndustrialCraft, and ProjectRed: players can route mined materials through pipes and machines, pump oil into rocket fuel, and program robots and screens. Players can also furnish and customize their bases with BiblioCraft and Macaw’s furniture, lights, bridges, doors, roofs, windows, paths, and other building pieces, as well as use a saw to make custom slabs, stairs, signs, and walls. For multiplayer, Essential lets players invite friends to a world, and a ready-to-use server pack is available for setting up a dedicated server.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 13 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 30 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 62 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 61 of its 62 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 6 of the 62 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
