A horror modpack where creepy monsters watch and hunt you.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 194 graded mods, 133 are graded A or B, 43 C and 18 D to F. Its last update came out 5 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Just Hide is an analog-horror Minecraft modpack built to turn survival into an unsettling stalker experience, with threats that watch, track, and hunt the player. Its entities include Pale Face, which stares at you, and the Shrieking Silhouette, which screams from the woods, alongside the Ghost Pig, Bon the Rabbit, and the fast, aggressive Evil Hunter. The Mimic claims your base as its territory and listens through your microphone, responding to noise with glitched whispers, door knocks, and window taps. Other stalkers create suspense in different ways: Twixxel’s Stalker advances when you look away, while Something Watches peers through windows and from cave entrances without immediately attacking. The Idol adds an investigation mechanic in which you track a ghost with an EMF Reader, ask questions through a text-based Spirit Box, and use a Polaroid Camera to stun it during a chase. Hauntings can bring distorted cave echoes, help messages, and rare events that plunge the world into darkness, while They Are Watching adds eerie generated structures such as abandoned churches. Terrifying Freddy watches from a distance before beginning a nearly inescapable hunt, whose jumpscare may crash the game to the desktop. The pack is described as designed to run on low-end systems without relying on large resource packs, and some of its scares use microphone input while The Idol responds only to text chat.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 5 Jun 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 189 of its 197 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 175 of its 185 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (5 Jun 2026) in the 149 mods we checked.
10 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
36 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
