Light-questing, building and exploration pack about building a zoo.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 261 graded mods, 206 are graded A or B, 41 C and 14 D to F. Its last update came out 12 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Menagerie is a light-questing modpack centered on building a zoo, with exploration and construction woven into the experience. Its animal-focused content includes creatures from mods such as Alex’s Mobs, Naturalist, Ben’s Sharks, Fintastic, Critters and Companions, Unusual Prehistory, and Odd Organisms. Quests guide players through themed activities, including botany and artifact collecting, while photography and animal enclosures contribute to the zoo-building experience. A tourism office exhibit showcases certificates earned by enclosing every species of an animal, and example builds include a monkey exhibit, a land-invertebrate exhibit, and a café run by a tortoise. The pack also supports building and outfitting a zoo with decorative blocks, furniture, painting, storage, and construction tools such as the Construction Gauntlet. Exploration brings expanded structures such as improved villages, dungeons, strongholds, mineshafts, desert temples, jungle temples, ocean monuments, and witch huts.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 20 Oct 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 20 Sep 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 261 of its 265 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 254 of its 255 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 13 of the 216 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
39 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
