Easy-to-understand mods add variety while keeping the familiar feel.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 279 graded mods, 247 are graded A or B, 27 C and 5 D to F. Its last update came out 7 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
New Simple Mods is a modpack for players who want to broaden a mostly vanilla Minecraft experience with approachable additions rather than complex magic or technology systems. It adds quality-of-life and atmosphere features through mods such as Advancement Plaques, Better Advancements, Falling Leaves, Ambient Environment, and AmbientSounds, alongside new landscapes from Biomes O’ Plenty. The world gains more than a hundred animals, including content from Alex’s Mobs, plus structures from Additional Structures, Awesome Dungeons, Medieval Buildings, and YUNG’s mods. New threats include Hunter’s Return and the mutants of Mutant Monsters, while Macaw’s mods and MrCrayfish’s Furniture provide options for decorating builds. For multiplayer, the pack includes PlayerRevive, Simple Voice Chat, and YDM’s Weapon Master, and it supports shaders through Oculus and other mods.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 7 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 13 May 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 279 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 268 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 28 of the 268 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
2 mods can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
