Build warships and fight enemy fleets across the open sea.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 105 graded mods, 78 are graded A or B, 24 C and 3 D to F. Its last update came out 6 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
TAOV 2 Sea Power is a survival PvE modpack centered on building a naval force and fighting AI-controlled ships and factions. Players can design their own warships or use prefab ships, equip them with naval guns and specialized weapons, and research technologies that improve their fleet. The seas feature more than 100 warships, naturally spawning pirates, merchant fleets, and coordinated carrier strike groups whose aircraft and surface ships fight together. An advanced vehicle AI controls complex block-built vessels, while players can research, build, and deploy allied AI warships to support them in battle. AI-controlled chiefdoms create opportunities for trade, diplomacy, territorial expansion, and warfare, including conflicts between rival factions and encounters with naturally generated islands. Players can raid merchant fleets, salvage loot, recruit and train crew members in different professions, and put them to work aboard their ships. On land, prefab buildings with functions can be used to establish, expand, and upgrade a naval base or harbor town.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 16 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 2 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 102 of its 105 mods, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 12 of the 90 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
15 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
