Survival feels different with rebalanced weapons, tools, hunger, and enchanting.

Insane's Survival Overhaul reworks Minecraft survival while retaining its sandbox feel, changing combat, resource use, progression, and everyday mechanics rather than adding just one isolated feature. Combat is reshaped through rebalance of tools, weapons, and armor, a tiredness mechanic, weaker shields, and smarter mobs with abilities such as zombies mining, creepers launching, and skeletons sniping. Bosses grow harder each time they are respawned, while shield enchantments, new shield types, and configurable mob properties add further ways to alter encounters. Survival resources are more constrained through reduced bonemeal effectiveness, nerfed animals, and smaller food stacks, and repair kits provide an alternative repair mechanic. The overhaul also changes farming and world interaction, including harder-to-break crops, hoe cooldowns and scything of tall grass, and an option to shovel paths or farmland back into dirt. Players can customize how fluids mix using datapacks, and can tune mob health, explosion strength, or movement speed through Mobs Properties Randomness. Additional survival rules can be adjusted for deaths and respawns, including possible losses of health, items, durability, or experience, and respawning at a random offset from a bed or world spawn. The mod also includes practical details such as showing coordinates and cardinal directions while holding a compass, and configurable item properties such as stack sizes, durability, and combat stats.

Replaces 2 of vanilla Minecraft's recipes and 2 advancements.
No harmful code found
We checked its files without running them.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends, in the 3 of its 4 files we read
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code
The author declares AI code on Modrinth.
Claude Code is named in the files of its repository.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
CLAUDE.mdPossible signThe tool was seen around the project. This does not show that it was used to make the files you download.: Claude Code files listed in its ignore list .claude/Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
