Survive a ruined world, uncover its story, and complete quests.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 201 graded mods, 77 are graded A or B, 39 C and 85 D to F. Its last update came out 5.4 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Dimension Zero is a story-driven hardcore questing modpack set in a world devastated by disasters and ruptured dimensional boundaries, where rifts, monsters, strange distortions, scattered ruins, and surviving settlements shape the player’s adventure through a questbook narrative. Its blend of technology, magic, and RPG systems supports several approaches to survival, while altered recipes guide progression without removing the freedom to choose what to pursue. Threats escalate over time, and every five nights a dimensional rift opens to unleash a challenge or a wave of monsters; rifts can also pull players into other dimensions, and nearby light can prevent or close them. Players can build permanent health by collecting monster-dropped heart crystals and eating a range of foods, then develop their characters through skills, talents, ability totems, and more than 130 discoverable spells, from elemental attacks and support magic to summons. Combat options include customizable armor and weapons such as swords, bows, shurikens, and yoyos, alongside magic, firearms, and defensive systems including rocket launchers, laser turrets, and railguns. The world features abandoned structures and dungeons to explore and loot, hostile intelligent factions, and descendants of survivors whose civilizations can be encountered and befriended; players can also tame creatures such as hippogryphs and dragons. The hardcore mode is optional, enabled through a questbook choice rather than Minecraft’s one-life Hardcore setting, and the pack provides lives through its quest progression.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 1 Jun 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 31 May 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 209 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of 208 of its 209 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 10 of the 95 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
114 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
