About
Macabre Call of False Prophets is a challenge-focused mod centered on exploring and surviving a fleshy dimension called the Pit, where dangerous enemies and dungeon rewards drive progression. The Pit adds more than 40 unique mobs and a gut-shaped dungeon with a surface entrance, alongside underground villages where players can trade with villagers using Blood Clots. Defeating the dungeon boss grants a Root of Infestation, which can be used at one of four altars to summon a chosen False Prophet; each prophet's heart then unlocks upgrades for dungeon items or crafts new gear such as Marrow Wings. New ores can be used directly or combined with other materials to make weapons and armor, while dungeon-only items offer additional rewards for exploration. The Pit also features Mortem Marsh, a Blood Moon event that reddens the sky and strengthens mobs, and a corpse that appears carrying dropped items when a player dies there. Enemies have distinctive behaviors, including the Shrieking Maw, which detects movement by sound, and Assimilation, which makes mobs grow after they consume dropped organs. Other additions include the buildable, commandable Construct familiar, Macabre Traders with custom trade menus, and the Grafted Catalyst, an enchanting table that works without bookshelves.
