Beyond The New Frontier is an exploration and dungeon-quest modpack intended primarily for player-versus-environment gameplay, with public servers also listed for multiplayer. It combines newer Minecraft content, including parrots, with a broad selection of classic and newer mods that expand exploration, building, crafting, technology, magic, farming, and combat. Exploration includes the Twilight Forest, Biomes O' Plenty, Roguelike Dungeons, Ruins, Mo' Villages, and AbyssalCraft, alongside added mobs from Primitive Mobs and tougher enemies from Rough Mobs. Players can pursue magical and supernatural systems such as Botania, Blood Magic, Astral Sorcery, Psi, EvilCraft, and Mystical Agriculture, or develop technology and automation with Applied Energistics 2, Mekanism, Thermal Expansion, Immersive Engineering, and Ender IO. For building and equipment, the pack includes Chisel, Chisels & Bits, Tinkers' Construct, SlashBlade, and armor and tool mods, while Pam's HarvestCraft and Cooking for Blockheads add farming and food options.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 14 Jul 2018). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 18 Mar 2018 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 173 mods and the files in the pack itself.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 173 of its mods.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (14 Jul 2018) in the 94 mods we checked.
5 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
79 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
