Build colonies, run giant machines, and explore space.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 69 graded mods, 26 are graded A or B, 15 C and 28 D to F. Its last update came out 7.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Colonial Engineers is a technology-and-colony modpack built around MineColonies, multiblock machinery, and space exploration. Players can establish colonies beyond the Overworld and use colonist professions that overlap with Ex Nihilo-style crushing and sifting, alongside automation and processing systems. Progression ties together machinery from Advanced Rocketry and other multiblock systems, with advanced coil crafting drawing on several of those systems and their resources. Space exploration gates access to Certus Quartz ore, Applied Energistics meteors, Naquadah ore, and chunk loaders rather than placing them in the Overworld. The pack also includes transport and vehicle options such as trains, rocket hovercraft, and vehicles powered by Fuelium, whose production uses industrial processing. For a distinctive survival setting, Lost Cities: Wasteland is recommended; water is non-infinite, but can be collected through a flooded-cities dimension or made by melting items in a Wooden Crucible.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 13 Jul 2019). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
5 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 1 Jul 2019 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 70 of its 71 mods, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 70 of its 71 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 37 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
34 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
