Cartoonish animations for mobs, items, and the world around you.

Fresh Animations is a modpack that gives Minecraft a more cartoonish feel through animation and visual-effect changes, drawing inspiration from Actions & Stuff. It adds first-person animations for held items, including inspection animations for swords, axes, shovels, pickaxes, and spears, as well as animations for mobs and objects such as axolotls, lanterns, shields, and torches. Mob appearance can also indicate health, and the pack includes dynamic lights that work without shaders, along with effects and particles. Other additions include Terralith, vein mining, inventory sorting, better doors and sleep, a pickup notifier, and a camera for taking and displaying photos in your world. The pack also includes optimization features and supports Distant Horizons for viewing more distant chunks with only a small reported performance cost.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.11 · Fabric, 24 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 15 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked all 135 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of 113 of its 114 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 16 of the 110 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
4 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
