Explore ocean islands, find treasure, and follow quests in a survival pack.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 202 graded mods, 126 are graded A or B, 32 C and 44 D to F. Its last update came out 2 months ago, for Minecraft 1.16.5. See the mods
FTB OceanBlock is a quest-led survival modpack that places players in an ocean-filled world, reshaping familiar island-based play around exploring the deep sea and finding ways to gather resources. Players can explore custom underwater structures and hunt for treasure across the open ocean, using rafts and an obsidian boat to get around; swimming is unavailable, so scuba gear is needed to dive. More than 550 quests guide the journey into draconic technology, while an alternative crafting system built around Tempered jars and sluicing gravel, sand, dirt, and dust provide distinctive routes for resource gathering and progression.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 21 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 11 Jun 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 202 of its 203 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 202 of its 203 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 13 of the 137 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
66 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
