A modpack that brings the classic console editions back to life.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 53 graded mods, 47 are graded A or B, 5 C and 1 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.21. See the mods
Legacy Remade is a modpack that imagines the Legacy Console Editions continuing to receive updates, with a next-generation console release instead of Bedrock Edition coming to consoles. It brings a Legacy Console-style interface through Legacy4J, along with console parity, legacy mipmapping, a tutorial world, gamma, and Steam Deck compatibility. Its alternate timeline depicts continued updates that add the Nether, next-generation console support, updated caves and custom world generation, the Warden and a new swamp biome, and Trails & Tails content.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21 · Fabric, 6 Oct 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 10 Jul 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 58 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 49 of its 50 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (6 Oct 2024) in the 50 mods we checked.
4 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
