A revamped modpack with better performance and community-made additions.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 193 graded mods, 145 are graded A or B, 39 C and 9 D to F. Its last update came out 5 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Liminal Industries Rescripted is a community-expanded rewrite of the original Liminal Industries modpack, using KubeJS scripting to improve performance and support content beyond the base pack. It reworks Backrooms world generation, adding a new starting sector, community-built rooms, larger and overlapping sectors, and changes intended to reduce lag during schematic placement. Players can explore additions such as silverfish cages, boiler rooms, mall- and moyai-themed rooms, and waystones, while parkour abilities provide new ways to move through the Backrooms. Progression includes new quests, an in-between chapter, additions to the Library and Poolrooms chapters, and more ways to obtain existing or previously unobtainable items. The Backrooms environment can be customized by swapping floors and wallpaper, and circuit breakers control room lighting and connected furniture; lamp buzzing adds ambient sound. The pack also changes sculk to deal damage over time, removes Nether Portals while replacing their function, and makes void rooms a sculk-filled danger zone. Its Room Forge lets community members build and modify room schematics, and is located in its own dimension.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 19 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 15 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 192 of its 194 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 189 of its 191 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 12 of the 160 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
31 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
