A challenging pack about building machines and working with metals.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 273 graded mods, 101 are graded A or B, 43 C and 129 D to F. Its last update came out 3.4 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Multiblock Madness is an expert-style modpack that combines technology, magic, combat, and exploration in a progression centered on metal tiers, multiblock machines, and unusual crafting methods. It begins near vanilla Minecraft and quickly advances through stages from basic alloys, steel, and refined iron to osmium, iridium, ultimate materials, and creative items, supported by more than 400 quests. Ore generation features large clusters and custom veins of related ores, while Rockhounding adds chemistry-based processing that can refine ores up to eight times and extract resources from uninspected minerals. Immersive Engineering excavators can exploit custom mineral veins for substantial midgame ore production, and the pack’s multiblock machines support tasks ranging from metal processing to collecting lunar energy and fighting virtual mobs. Players can build a broad range of multiblock machinery, including the Shadow Condenser for producing Midnight Ingots, and nearly all multiblocks have custom previews. Crafting also includes Compact Machines’ 3D Miniaturization, used for machine frames and magical items. Exploration leads through the Twilight Forest and the hostile but rewarding Beneath, with locked Treasure2 chests to loot and challenging creatures from Mowzie’s Mobs and Ice and Fire to face. Magic paths include Astral Sorcery, Blood Magic, Electroblob’s Wizardry, and Thaumcraft, balancing the pack’s extensive technical progression.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 12 Jun 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 9 Jun 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 280 of its 282 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 280 of its 282 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 11 of the 139 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
143 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
