An Origins-inspired pack with new places, building blocks, and backpacks.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 121 graded mods, 104 are graded A or B, 13 C and 4 D to F. Its last update came out 5 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.21.11. See the mods
Origins SMP is a modpack inspired by the original Origins SMP, first made to let viewers play with the same mods and later expanded into a more refined take on its feel. It adds backpacks that can be upgraded, a large selection of building blocks, and new places to explore alongside familiar locations made to feel fresh. Its expanded modlist includes food and drink additions such as Brewery, Bakery, Farmer’s Delight, Vinery, and Brewin’ and Chewin’, as well as furniture from Refurbished Furniture. The pack also adds creature-focused mods including Creeper Overhaul, Ribbits, Critters & Companions, and Golem Overhaul. Simple Voice Chat has a more polished icon appearance through Amended Icons, and the pack includes Xaero’s Mini Map and World Map.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · Fabric, 19 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 9 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 122 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 118 of its 119 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 119 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
