A fully customized modpack to add a progressive feel to skyblock with a clear end goal.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 148 graded mods, 100 are graded A or B, 28 C and 20 D to F. Its last update came out 3.8 years ago, for Minecraft 1.16.5. See the mods
Sky Research is a customized skyblock modpack built around guided progression and the goal of summoning and defeating the Corrupted Witherskeleton Boss. You begin on a small island surrounded by void and must develop ways to farm the resources needed for your journey, alone or with friends. A research system unlocks access to different mods, while custom questlines help you explore them and offer rewards along the way. Custom crafting recipes direct you through particular mods on the route to the final boss, even though you can choose which mods to focus on for much of the pack. An introductory quest provides a guide you can revisit as you progress.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 23 Jan 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 27 Nov 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 147 of its 149 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 147 of its 149 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 12 of the 125 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
24 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
