Tech Spirit is a semi-expert technology and exploration modpack set in a world submerged by rising oceans, where a survivor seeks a way to rebuild humanity by finding plans for a time machine. The adventure begins on an island, and players explore the oceans for components to build their first Create machines, using rotational power to generate ores before progressing into the age of electricity. Progression ties nearly all of the pack’s roughly 270 mods into a long campaign, with hundreds of customized recipes and an estimated 300 hours of play. Advancement also calls for exploring every dimension and fighting bosses, with armor important to surviving those encounters. The pack’s quest content includes multiple stages and questlines, alongside systems and activities such as Mekanism, Hostile Network, storage, Create assembly, automated sifting, and Tinkers’ Construct. Its setting includes unusual creatures altered by radiation from submerged nuclear power plants, while the Nether is an exception to the depletion of raw minerals elsewhere.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 9 Oct 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 18 Jul 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 274 of its 275 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 274 of its 275 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 19 of the 216 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
59 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
