A tech-focused pack for building rockets and exploring distant planets.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 167 graded mods, 56 are graded A or B, 33 C and 78 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
The Final Frontier is a technology-focused modpack built around progressing from early- to late-game machinery and using it to explore space, rather than pursuing magic. Players can craft tools, establish a launch site, travel to the Moon and Mars, build a space station, launch satellites into orbit, and explore other planets and dimensions. Its technology toolkit includes power and industry mods such as Mekanism, Thermal Expansion, Immersive Engineering, Industrial Foregoing, and Extreme Reactors, alongside automation and storage systems including Applied Energistics 2, RFTools, and Ender IO. Exploration also reaches varied terrain and generated locations through Biomes O' Plenty, Realistic Terrain Generation, Ruins, Roguelike Dungeons, and Mo' Villages.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 19 Nov 2019). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 19 Nov 2019 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 171 of its 174 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 168 of its 174 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (19 Nov 2019) in the 86 mods we checked.
4 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
88 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
