Build a factory, research rocket science, discover new planets and terraform the moon.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 97 graded mods, 45 are graded A or B, 16 C and 36 D to F. Its last update came out 12 months ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Towards Rocket Science is a progression-focused modpack about building industry, researching rocketry, exploring other worlds and ultimately terraforming the Moon. Its progression begins with resource gathering and processing through Minecolonies or Tektopia, BuildCraft and Tinkers’ Construct, then develops into Immersive Engineering-based heavy industry and basic Refined Storage before advancing to satellites, asteroid mining, warp travel, gas mining and terraforming with Advanced Rocketry. Rocket travel opens up destinations including the Moon, Nitra, Tana, Mustafar, Tatooine, Dagobah, Coruscant, Hoth, Yavin, Kashyyyk and Trandosha, as well as asteroid fields such as Polis Massa, Obo Rin and Covey. The pack also includes Immersive Petroleum and Immersive Tech alongside its core engineering and spaceflight mods.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 28 Oct 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 26 Oct 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 98 of its 100 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 96 of its 98 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 6 of the 61 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
37 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
