Blocks only drop items when broken with the right tool.

No Tree Punching makes early survival more deliberate by requiring the correct tool to break most blocks and obtain their drops, while leaving some materials such as leaves and gravel accessible without tools. Players can gather loose rocks to make cobblestone, obtain flint from gravel, and knap flint against stone to produce shards for early tools. A flint knife helps harvest plant fibers and make string, while a flint axe enables wood gathering and the creation of a crafting table; flint pickaxes, shovels, and hoes extend the starter toolkit, and a Macuahuitl offers an early weapon. The mod removes wooden and stone tool recipes and changes campfire crafting to use a fire starter, reinforcing its alternate progression beyond the opening tools. Later tools include knives in several vanilla materials, which can serve as weak weapons, crafting tools, or plant harvesters, and saws for processing wood into planks and sticks. Mattocks combine axe- and shovel-like mining with actions such as stripping wood, tilling soil, and making paths, with sneaking used to choose between some right-click functions. Its pottery system lets players shape clay into items such as large and small storage vessels, water-only buckets, and flower pots, then fire them in a campfire or furnace; the large vessel holds 15 items and retains its contents when broken, while the small vessel holds nine.

Changes the game's code in 2 areas: PlayerChanges 3 game code files in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls. and Game data and resourcesChanges 1 game code file in this area: recipes, tags, advancements, language files and other game data..
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Replaces 15 of vanilla Minecraft's recipes and 2 loot tables.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
