Arphex Experience is Vllax’s lightweight successor to Hellscape, bringing together around 200 carefully optimized mods for a survival-focused journey of exploration, combat, and long-form progression. Its world generation is packed with sprawling dungeons, lost cities, tunnels, and other structures, including locations from Integrated Dungeons and Structures, When Dungeons Arise, Dungeons and Taverns, Horror Structures, and Spooky Structures. Exploring these sites can uncover randomized treasures such as magical artifacts and mythical weapons, while the world’s dangers range from arthropods and supernatural horrors to powerful bosses added by Arthropod Phobia Expansions, The Obsessed, Zombie Nightmare Expansions, L_Ender’s Cataclysm, Legendary Monsters, and EEEAB’s Mobs. A guidebook helps direct the journey: access to dimensions is gated by special items, turning progression into a sequence of exploration and increasingly difficult fights. The route described in the pack’s progression leads through the Deep Void, Nether, Otherside, and End, where players face challenges such as Cataclysm’s Ignis, a Stalker, End Remastered’s collection of boss eyes, and a tougher True Ending dragon fight. Defeating The Annihilator in an End space-station structure opens the way to the Crawling dimension, where ArPhEx’s later progression leads toward endgame equipment and its strongest bosses, culminating in the Tormentor superboss.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 21 Mar 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 21 Mar 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 199 of its 200 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 191 of its 192 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 10 of the 165 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
27 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
