Complete quests to expand your tiny world and survive.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 151 graded mods, 111 are graded A or B, 31 C and 9 D to F. Its last update came out 12 months ago, for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
Captive Survival is a quest-driven take on Captive Minecraft, where you begin inside a randomly generated 5-by-5 world border and expand the playable area by completing quests. Its quest book contains more than 300 quests, with roulette loot tables and choice rewards; completing quests can also grant unique rewards as the border grows. Within the confined world, you can build farms, tame animals, and interact with Villagers while encountering unusually small biomes that bring different environments close together. Progression reaches the Nether and End, including crafting End Portal Frames and fighting the Ender Dragon, before opening up Ad Astra content that takes you to other planets and a new galaxy. The pack combines mods including Ex Nihilo Sequentia and ProjectE for an intense but broadly vanilla-like experience.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 25 Oct 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 24 Oct 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 152 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 152 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 12 of the 122 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
30 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
