An updated expert modpack with new machines, quests, and easier storage.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 238 graded mods, 88 are graded A or B, 35 C and 115 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Enigmatica 2 Expert Unofficial is a fork of Enigmatica 2: Expert that updates and replaces mods while adding quality-of-life changes and expanded quest guidance. It replaces Modular Machinery with Multiblocked, converting the existing multiblocks and adding a new one; its machines support player-chosen hatch placement and wallsharing, and a Creative Tank Replicator makes it easier to produce additional creative tanks after obtaining the first. For storage and automation, AE2 Extended Life replaces AE2 with its quality-of-life features and no channels, while Packaged Extended Crafting, Packaged Astral, and AE2 Fluid Crafting Reworked support automation and fluid crafting. The pack also adds framed drawers that can be framed by hand, swimming and crawling mechanics from Aquatic Acrobatics, and Seared Ladders for moving out of smelteries. Its questbook gains chapters for AE2 and Multiblocked, including guidance on Packaged automation and fluid crafting, alongside other added or revised quests and some setup videos. A skyblock edition is also available, and players with existing E2E saves can use a special conversion version to convert deprecated items before moving to the pack.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 3 Mar 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 10 Feb 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 246 of its 248 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of 247 of its 248 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (3 Mar 2024) in the 124 mods we checked.
6 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
124 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
