Progress through tech and magic ages to unlock endgame rewards.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 211 graded mods, 158 are graded A or B, 39 C and 14 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
Evolution of the Ages 2 is a solo- and group-friendly modpack built around gated progression through successive technology and magic ages, with modified recipes linking mods and a deliberately demanding early game. Players can focus on technology, magic, or both, progressing through tech mods such as Create, PneumaticCraft, Applied Energistics 2, Thermal Expansion, and Mekanism, alongside magic mods including Botania, Ars Nouveau, EvilCraft, and Forbidden & Arcanus. Quests serve as a progression map, and completing them can earn custom loot bags; the overall goal is to unlock the Creativerite Ingot, which opens access to creative items for extended play. Hardcore bosses and other hidden dangers add extra risk for players seeking a tougher run. The pack also includes exploration content such as YUNG’s Better Dungeons, Mineshafts, Strongholds, Ocean Monuments, Witch Huts, Nether Fortresses, and Desert Temples, as well as The Twilight Forest, Blue Skies, the Undergarden, and the Bumblezone.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 10 Apr 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 31 Mar 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 210 of its 211 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of 210 of its 211 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (10 Apr 2023) in the 179 mods we checked.
15 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
32 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
