An expert sky island adventure with magic, machinery, and challenging quests.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 358 graded mods, 253 are graded A or B, 75 C and 30 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
FTB Skies Expert is a challenging sky-island modpack that uses quest progression to guide players from primitive tools toward space travel, blending technology and magic along the way. Players choose one of seven islands and arrive by airship, then manage scarce resources and survive hostile mobs while advancing through the pack’s expert-level progression. The Eye of Legend helps players explore the skies and find loot-filled floating villages, while Create, Diesel Create Sifting, and custom bee overhauls add distinctive ways to gather and process resources. The pack combines machinery and automation with magic from mods such as Mekanism, Elemental Craft, Botania, and RFTools, and includes spellcraft, Hostile Neural Networks, Applied Energistics, and Ad Astra for journeys to the stars.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 6 Mar 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 9 Jan 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 358 of its 359 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of 352 of its 354 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 22 of the 284 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
70 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
